Welcome to TERN Knowledge Base

Using Jupyter notebooks within CoESRA

On starting Jupyter from the CoESRA folder in the Application menu, a “Jupyter” application window will appear. The two buttons (as shown below) allow users to easily start and stop Jupyter. The associated app icon will appear in the panel at the bottom of the desktop screen.

Starting and stopping the Jupyter environment

“Start Jupyter” will start a Jupyter server (in the background) and launch JupyterLab in a browser window.

“Stop Jupyter” will stop Jupyter server. Closing the “Jupyter Window Application” will also shutdown the Jupyter server.
