Raw images

  • Use the following directory pattern to upload your images (full path):
    /<site_name>/Data/EcoImages/LAI/DCP/<plot>/<YYYYMMDD>/<upward/downward>
    e.g. /AliceMulga/Data/EcoImages/LAI/DCP/core1ha/20200106/upward

    • plot = core1ha (default for all sites) or other plot name, e.g. see below table.

    • YYYYMMDD = date of image capture, also known as Site Visit ID.

    • upward/downward = allows you to separate images that were taken pointing the camera upwards (i.e. towards the sky) and images that were taken pointing the camera downwards (i.e. towards the ground).

  • If the folder structure does not already exist, please create it.

  • If there is no more than one image for each of the 81 positions within the plot, the images do not need to be renamed. If the number of images is more than 81, the images need to be renamed indicating their corresponding position within the plot, e.g. ‘T1P3_img2.CR2’. In this image name, ‘T1’ refers to transect 1, ‘P3’ refers to the third position along the transect from which LAI images are being captured, and ‘img2’ refers to the second image captured from position ‘P3’. If less than 81 images were captured across the 81 positions, please state within a read me document that positions with no canopy cover were omitted. Otherwise, it will be assumed that some images were not uploaded or that the standard SuperSites protocol was not used, and you will be contacted.

  • If you are not following the standard SuperSites protocol to collect these images, please contact esupport@tern.org.au
