Phenocam

Please note the following points:

Images from active phenocams are uploaded automatically to the UQRDM. The set up for the automatic uploads is not covered in this manual.
For manual uploads of legacy data follow the instructions below. Every time you upload legacy images, please notify us at esupport@tern.org.au so we can process and publish the images.

To upload legacy images:

Please upload the original files from the camera. Do not rename or modify the files.
Use the following directory pattern to upload your images (full path):
/<site_name>/Data/EcoImages/Phenocamera/view_id/YYYYMMDD
e.g. /CumberlandPlain/Data/EcoImages/Phenocamera/overstorey_nadir_01/20200106
- view_id = Designated camera view specific to each phenocamera location. Based on historical data we have assigned the options per site (see table below).
  Additional view_id can be added according to our preferred view_id list / pattern:
  - overstorey_nadir_01 – looking down from a tower
  - overstorey_oblique_01 – horizontal view of overstorey
  - understorey_oblique_01 – horizontal view of understorey
  - hummock_oblique – looking down from a low height
  - tussock_oblique – looking down from a low height
  - understorey_zenith – looking up from ground level
- YYYYMMDD = end date of image capture.
