Free Text Searching
Text-based search:
From the TDD home page, users can enter any text in the search bar to search for relevant TERN data records.
Alternatively, users can also use the free text search box on the Search page to search terms or phrases relevant to data and metadata records. This option gives users the ability to include or exclude certain terms to expand or contract their search.
Additionally, from the Search page, users can refine searches which include or exclude certain terms or phrases and can use the expand option to include other terms which may or may not be contained in results. An example of how these search options can be used to return results is shown below.
