SHaRED: How to complete the Lodge tab
You can lodge the record once all mandatory fields have been completed and you have agreed to 'I have read and agree with the terms and conditions.
Each tab containing mandatory fields is marked with an asterisk that will turn from Red to Green when the fields are completed.
Instructions
The Lodge tab will display the following screen if mandatory tab/s are incomplete
Once all requirements are fulfilled, the following form will be displayed to proceed with the lodgement
Complete the following fields in the Lodge tab:

Include a note for the data manager | Enter additional information or questions for the Data Manager. |

Is there an existing DOI for the dataset | If the data set already has a DOI, then click on “Yes” | Provide the details in the textbox provided |
Please mint a DOI for this submission… | Tick to select if a DOI should be minted for the data set. | This option will be disabled if a DOI already exists. We recommend to request a DOI only for completed datasets or data releases, not continuous datasets. |
I have read and agree… | Tick to indicate acceptance of the terms. | Mandatory. Open the Terms & Conditions section to read the document prior to clicking this option |
Terms & Conditions | Click this section to open it. Then you can either read it online or download a copy to review. Users need to agree for Terms and Conditions to submit data at SHaRED.

Want to keep a personal copy of your metadata record? | Click the “Click here” link to generate an XML version of the metadata submission. | This is optional and the file generated includes all of the details you have provided under the tabs, but not files you have uploaded. |
Click [Lodge data] to submit your record. The status of the record will change to ‘Submitted’.
What happens next?
TERN will review the details and prepare the metadata. If we have any questions, we will contact you.
