How can I save my searched results?

 

The save searched items feature allows users to save the keywords that they have searched previously to enhance the user experience.

 

The User must be logged into the Portal in order to save the searches.

Saves Searches and Favourites

As a User, the items searched can be stored under the menu item MyResults, either as My Searches or My Favourites.

 

Steps to save to My Searches:

  1. Navigate to the Portal - Portal.tern.org.au

  2. Sign-in with either the AAF or Google account details

  3. The MyResults menu item becomes available

  4. Enter a search item (keyword) in the Search in the home page - Eg Agematsu

  5. Then hit search.

  6. The searched keyword will be displayed in the Current Search panel

  7. Click the Save Search button a Save Search dialogue box will appear

  8. Enter a Title and a short description of the intended search.

  9. Click Save button

 

To retrieve the stored keyword/s searched

  1. Click the MyResults on the Menu

  2. Select My Searches

  3. A list containing the keyword searches performed will be listed

  4.  

  5. Click the ellipses under the Action section

  6. Follow the prompts to perform actions on each item listed.

 

Steps to save to My Favourites:

Follow the steps 1 to 5 as per saving a search in the above section. A list of matched searches will be displayed:

Example:

  1. Click the down pointer for any of the records

  2. the selected record will expanded and the Add to Favourites button

    will be visible.

  3. Once this button is clicked, the details will be saved into your favourites.

 

To retrieve the stored keyword/s searched

  1. Click the MyResults on the Menu

  2. Select My Favourites

  3. A list containing your favourites will be listed

  4. Click the 'x' under the Action section to delete the favourites from your profile

  5. A delete confirmation screen will be shown to confirm the removal from your favourites.
