What web browser is available within the CoESRA virtual desktop?

Only Firefox is available as part of the virtual desktop platform.

How can I request for a new software application to become available within the CoESRA virtual desktop?

Please contact esupport@tern.org.au with your request.

How can I upload/download files from my local computer?

From within the CoESRA virtual desktop, select the File Transfer tab which will open a new panel. Select ‘Devices’ to display the upload files option, then choose the folder in which to save the uploaded files. Click the ‘Upload Files’ button to upload your files from the local machine to your virtual desktop. When you have finished uploading files, click ‘Close File Transfer’ to close.

Please be aware that FileTransfer may be a more time consuming option than if you already have your data stored in the cloud (ie. in Dropbox) and only need to download it into your CoESRA desktop.

Can I download and install software inside CoESRA?

No, the system does not allow users to download and install software from the internet. If you require ecological analysis or other software that is not currently available, please email esupport@tern.org.au.
