Create 5 subfolders, one for photopoint position [NE, NW, SE, SW, C]. If photographs have been taken in the correct order ([N, E, S, W] or [NE, SE, SW, NW]) then images can simply be uploaded to their position folder. Alternatively, if photographs have not been taken in order, then a simple prefix is required to indicate direction, e.g. E_IMG_1358.jpg for East.
Use the following directory pattern to upload your images (full path): Shared/<site_name>/Data/EcoImages/PhotoPoint/plot_id/YYYYMMDD/position/direction_image_name
e.g. Shared/GreatWesternWoodlands/Data/EcoImages/PhotoPoint/core1ha/20200106/NE/E_IMG001.jpgplot_id = core1ha or other plot name;
YYYYMMDD = date of image capture, also known as Site Visit ID;
Position = position on plot (NE, NW, SE, SW, C)
Direction = (optional) prefix image name with direction, e.g. E_IMG0359.jpg. If the photos were taken in correct order then this is not necessary, direction will be taken from the order that they appear in the CloudStor directory. Correct direction order is [N, E, S, W] for plot corners and [NE, SE, SW, NW] for the centre.
· Two examples are given below, one where images are prefixed with direction and another example where this isn’t necessary.
Example 1. Photographs are not taken in the correct order, therefore filenames are prefixed with a direction.
Example 2. Photographs are taken in correct order. Therefore, direction is not required.
