The Data Sources tab consists of two sections to upload small data files or to identify the location of a data service.

Complete ONE of the following sections in the Data sources tab:

How to upload data files
Complete the following steps:
Drag a file icon from your computer onto the upload section of the page and release the mouse
Click [Confirm Upload] to upload the file.
Repeat from step 1 above for each file you have to upload.
How to specify data services
Data services include files hosted on a web site, a THREDDS Server or delivered via a web service.
Click [ + Add new ] in the Data sources tab to open the Add Data services window and complete the following fields:
Field Label | Steps | Notes |
---|---|---|
Description | Type a description for the service | Mandatory. The description should be similar to the Title as it may display in search results. |
Protocol | Select the protocol from the list | Mandatory. |
URL | Type or paste the URL to access the data. | Mandatory. |
Layer | Type the title for the layer if the data is provided via a web coverage service (WCS) or web map service (WMS). | Mandatory for WCS or WMS service types. |
Click [Done] to store the input, or [Cancel] to ignore the input. The Add Data services window closes.
Click the [Save] button to store the changes to the record (top right above the tabs).
