Providing information about the naming convention is essential where the dataset consists of many individual files and may have multiple parameters, for example, global evapotranspiration as 8-day and monthly composites.

If the description of the naming convention is just a few lines, you could add the details to the bottom of the Abstract, or in ‘Supplemental information' in the About tab.

If more than 8 lines, we suggest you submit a readme text or markdown file with your data, or place it on the server where your data is stored.
