The Data Sources tab consists of two sections allows to upload small data files or to identify the location of a data service.

Instructions
Complete the following sections in the Data sources tab:

Complete the following steps:
Drag a file icon from your computer onto the upload section of the page and release the mouse
The file will be uploaded
Fill in a Title for each item that is uploaded
Repeat from step 1 above for each file you have to upload.

If you files are < 100 Mb, you can drag and drop them from your computer into the upload section or you can click on the upload section and browse you computer to find the file:

Click on ‘A title is required’ and fill in the title in the pop up window.

Click [Save]
The title will appear

The title will appear on the metadata record. It should allow identifying the content of the file. If your file had already been labelled in a way that allows clear identification (as in the example above) the title can be the same as the file name.
To delete a file from the list, click the [x] on the right hand side.
Thumbnail
The thumbnail will be used in the metadata record for illustrative purposes. The image should describe the data included in the dataset or the particular environment studied. To upload a thumbnail:
Drag an image of not more than 1000 by 1000 pixels 3 Mb into the area specified for thumbnails
Provide a Title for the thumbnail

Data services

Data services include files hosted on a web site, a THREDDS Server or delivered via a web service.
Click the [Add] button under Distributions label and the Add Data services form will be opened, and complete the following fields in the pop-up window:

Distributor’s Organisation | By default it is set to TERN. This value can be changed by selecting an input from the selection list | Not a mandatory field |

Click the [Save] button to store the changes to the record (top right above the tabs).
