Requesting Samples Overview
Researchers can request to access samples via EcoPlots, using the functionality outlined in this user guide. This page provides a brief overview of the process involved.
EcoPlots Process
To request access to TERN samples, users will need to create a Sample Request via EcoPlots. This is similar to an online shopping experience, where samples can be searched and selected, to add to a data cart. Please note that users must be signed in to their TERN Account to add samples to a data cart and proceed through the request steps.
When users are happy with the contents of their cart, they can choose to progress to the next step, which is the completion of the Expression of Interest (EOI) form.
This form requires specific information about the both the project and the proposed use of the samples. Users are able to save the EOI form as a draft should they need to confirm any project details before submitting it. Additionally, users can add or remove samples associated with their EOI up until they submit it.
These steps, and instructions for how to complete them, are outlined further throughout the subsequent pages of this user guide. For information on TERN Accounts, including on how to register an account, users should refer to https://ternaus.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/TERNSup/pages/2355134479.
EOI Review Process
The EOI review process takes place outside of EcoPlots and is done by the TERN Adelaide team.
Once the EOI is submitted and reviewed, the TERN Adelaide team will contact the user directly for next steps. Users should note that the review time for EOIs may be a few weeks, depending on the volume and nature of requests received.
The following flow chart outlines the post submission process for EOIs. For questions, please contact the TERN Adelaide team.
