Viewing Vector Data in the Landscape Data Visualiser
Several vector datasets are published, including TERN infrastructure locations and associated dataset lists. Depending on the selected layer, sub-menus enable further interrogation of the datasets. The following example visualises the TERN Ecosystem Process supersite and displays contextual information about each site, including location and observed features of interest when users click on a site location.
In this example the only View option is Vector data and the only Data Source option is Annual. However there are multiple years available for users to navigate between, using the arrows on either side of the year displayed (2016 in the screenshot below).
For this dataset, users also have the ability to select a Map Property to visualise the data in different ways. To do this, users can select an option from the Map Property field and then use the Palette options to display the data as desired.
The Map property shows attributes of a feature map and enable users to get a range of a selected attributes as legend. Users can select number of colours in a palette to show case in legends.
Note that all fields within the Palette box are selectable, with options for colour scheme and the number of colours available. The options selected are then displayed on the legend.
Users can search for values in any feature attribute using the Filter text box. The map updates to show the site matching the search value.
As with the previous example, users can display the feature attributes as a table, using the Show Data Table button:
