Searching for Data using the Landscape Data Visualiser
To search for data in the Landscape Data Visualiser, users should navigate to the Map page.
From here, users can search for data to view in several ways.
To search for a particular dataset users can type the name of the dataset into the Catalogue search box.
Or, to search by the type of data contained in the dataset, users can choose from the data types contained in the Layer type field, which appears when the '+' next to the Catalogue search is clicked.
Alternatively, users can browse for data by clicking on each of the folders to view the layers within.
Selecting Map Layers for Visualisation
To add a dataset to the map for viewing, users should click on the dataset name in the Data Catalogue. Please note that for larger datasets, data may take a few seconds to load.
When a dataset is added, a legend for the dataset will appear. Users will also see the dataset appear in the “Visible Data” section of the page.
To remove a dataset from the map, click the 'x' at the top right of the Visible data box, to the right of the dataset name.
When a dataset has been added to the visualiser, users may see various display options, depending on the dataset selected. For some datasets, these may include the ability to navigate between days, months or years of data or other options.
These options are outlined further on the following pages:
