Downloading a Data Package from EcoImages

As noted on Creating a Data Package in EcoImages, users wishing to download multiple images at once must first create a data package. Once the package has completed, there are three main methods users can use to obtain their package:

  1. Wait for the email confirmation of package completion and then use the link in this email to download,

  2. Click the download symbol on the package in their My Downloads page, or

  3. Use the Actions menu against their data package and select “Download” from the options against the package in their My Downloads page.

In addition to these methods, users can choose to View the package from the Actions menu and select download on the View Package page.

Packages download as a zip file, with each data package containing the following:

  • Image files in jpeg or tif formats,

  • CSV metadata,

  • JSON of metadata, and

  • Data citation in BIB and RIS formats.
