Creating a Data Package in EcoImages

Once users have used the filters on the search page to refine their results to a series of images to download, they can select “Get Data” to create a data package for download.

Note that users must be signed in to EcoImages to create data packages. Users will be redirected to the log in page if they are not signed in.

Once logged in, users will be taken to the data cart and asked to create their data package, by adding a Title and Description. The data cart will also list the filters applied to the search used to create the contents of the package, allowing users to either proceed by selecting “Request Images” or return to the search page by selecting “Cancel”.

When the files have finished processing, the user will see the package in their My Downloads page change to have a status of “Complete”. On completion of the file packaging, users will see a Download Queue pop up appear on the screen, showing the packages ready for download. This pop up can be expanded as shown in the screenshot below or closed entirely.

Users will also receive an email with a link to the download, which will prompt them to log in before automatically starting the download of the zipped image files.
