EcoImages Quick Start Guide
This “getting started” guide will help you to access the EcoImages data portal and give you an overview of its functionality.
Navigation Features
In the navigation bar of EcoImages, there are five menu options:
Home will take you to the EcoImages homepage,
Search will open the EcoImages search engine and its filters.
Resources will open a dropdown menu (further details provided below),
My Downloads will display a list of all the data packages requested from your account. Note this menu only appears if the user is signed into their account,
Help will open to the EcoImages user guide.
Resources Menu
The Resources menu includes the following options:
The Sites Stats link allows users to see data metrics relating to images collected from each of the sites included within EcoImages.
The Image Types Stats link allows users to see data metrics relating to each type of image held within EcoImages. Image types include Flora, Fauna, Fungi, General, Camera Trap, Leaf Area Index (LAI), Panorama, Phenocam and Photopoint. Please note that not all image types are collected at each site.
The Release Notes link opens the TERN Confluence pages which detail each version of the EcoImages application. Users can find what has changed between versions by reviewing these pages.
The EcoImages API link opens the TERN EcoImages REST API via the Swagger UI, allowing users to experiment with calls to the TERN API using their browser.
