The File Transfer function within CoESRA allows the easy movement of data between a user’s local computer and the CoESRA virtual desktop.

  1. From within the CoESRA virtual desktop, select the File Transfer tab on the far right of the sceen.

2. A new panel will open on the left of the screen.

3. Select the drive path name under ‘Devices’. A list will open that will allow users to choose where the uploaded files will be saved within their CoESRA virtual desktop. Highlight to select a folder then double click.

We suggest that users upload to either their Desktop or Documents folders.

4. Click the ‘Upload Files’ button to select the files from your local machine that you wish to transfer to your virtual desktop.

5. When you have finished uploading files, click ‘Close File Transfer’ to close.

Please be aware that FileTransfer may be a more time consuming option than if you already have your data stored in the cloud (ie. in Dropbox) and only need to download it into your CoESRA desktop.

The File Transfer function also allows small amounts of text data to be copied and pasted between the local and virtual environments.
