The virtual desktop Operating System

The CoESRA virtual desktop environment runs BlueOnyx that is based on AlmaLinux, Rocky Linux and CentOS Linux.

Secure Socket Shell (SSH) access

Once logged into the CoESRA web portal, access SSH mode from the dashboard as ‘SSH to Desktop’ which opens into a new window.

Customising virtual desktop settings

We strongly recommend users not to make any changes to the virtual desktop setting because it may affect the working of the desktop . Any changes made by users will not be supported. The default virtual desktop settings are designed to service the majority of virtual desktop use cases. However, if you should need access to more computing resources for your project, you can customise the resources allocated to your desktop by clicking the Change Settings button and changing the resource allocations as required.
